I hope the following guidance helps you decide what to buy for a child, but if you are uncertain then just drop us an email and we’ll try to help you the best we can.

These are the guidelines:-

1. No food/sweets including chocolate – The reason is that a child receiving a gift may have allergies.

2. Nothing very expensive – These gifts will be going to children in difficult circumstances and we do not want to make them a target or victim of theft.

3. Wrapping – is not required. The simple reason is that all gifts must be checked before distribution for safeguarding reasons. Wrapped gifts have to be opened and checked which causes delays and sometimes it is a waste of your money if the wrapping is no longer useful.

4. Personal notes and cards – please do not include notes and cards with gifts as they will not be passed on to the child.

5. How much? – That’s entirely up to you and what you can afford whilst observing item No 2 above, £5-£10 is probably the average spent on a gift.
