Choosing the perfect Secret Santa gift 🎁

Thank you for helping us make Christmas a little more special for a child or young person.

You don’t need to spend a fortune — a simple, thoughtful gift can mean an enormous amount. To help us make sure every gift can be safely and fairly distributed, we have just a few guidelines:

🍫 Please don’t include food or sweets
This includes chocolates and other edible treats. Some of the children receiving gifts may have allergies or other dietary requirements, so we keep all donated gifts food-free.

🎁 Keep gifts thoughtful rather than expensive
There’s no need to buy anything extravagant. We want every child to receive something lovely and appropriate without particularly valuable items causing difficulties for the families or organisations we support.

🎀 Please leave gifts unwrapped
Every gift is checked before distribution as part of our safeguarding arrangements. If gifts arrive wrapped, our volunteers have to unwrap them before they can be allocated — so please save your wrapping paper!

💌 Please don’t include personal cards or messages
We know these are always kindly meant, but personal notes and cards cannot be passed on with donated gifts. A warm Christmas message written on one of our collection-point cards, if you introduce those, could be an alternative.

💷 How much should I spend?
Whatever you are comfortable with. There is absolutely no minimum spend. As a guide, many people spend around £5–£10, but what matters to us is the thought behind the gift, not its price.
