Mini-Appeal Information

The JCI Bradford Secret Santa Appeal in Bradford has been running since 1989.  It is a very worthwhile project bringing happiness to disadvantaged families and children at Christmas.  JCI Bradford members run this appeal on a volunteer basis as part of their community commitment and to ensure its success we need your help in collecting over 6000 presents.

One of the most successful parts of our appeal over the years has been the introduction of ‘Mini‐appeals’ within organisations of all kinds from businesses, factories, offices to schools and colleges. These appeals have yielded half a dozen presents from small offices to several hundred presents from large businesses and schools. JCI Bradford is grateful for all the support we receive.

It’s Simple
In its simplest form we’ll provide your organisation with flyers and gift tags which bear the first name, age and gender of a child who has been nominated to receive a gift. You can then hand them out to your colleagues or leave them in a reception area for them to pick up at their will. The person with a tag buys a present for that child and returns the tag and the present to your co‐ordinator (no need to wrap it).
It’s entirely up to you how you decide to help.

Mini-appeals are very easy to set up and you and your organisation can make a big difference for many families and children in our communities.

What you need to do now
Agree that your organisation wants to get involved.
Agree who will be the main contact/co-ordinator.
Decide how many gifts you aim to collect.
(Don’t worry if you say 10 and then only get six – the appeal is monitored on
a daily basis and if your ‘mini-appeal’ falls short then JCI Bradford will
hopefully be able to use surplus donations from elsewhere to make it up).
